Adoptions

Your symbolic adoption of a Mālama i Nā Honu green sea turtle helps us continue our mission “To protect Hawaiian sea turtles through education, public awareness and conservation, all in the Spirit of Aloha.”  If you have visited our honus at Laniakea beach, an adoption is a great memory of that special moment.  This packet is also a thoughtful gift for any occasion to the animal-lover in your life. Your tax deductible donation supports education, outreach and advocacy for Hawaiian green sea turtles.

Adoption packages are available as a digital copy emailed to you or a folder with the certificate delivered by regular mail.  You can adopt a single honu or the entire honu 'ohana.  All digital adoptions are $30.  A single turtle is $35 and the ohana is $45.

All digital adoptions include:

• a personalized Adopt-a-Honu certificate with information about your special turtle
• a chart of your Honu’s recent basking activity (only for single turtle adoptions on Oahu)
• a fact sheet about Hawaiian green sea turtles
• An in-depth perspective on the protected status of the Hawaiian green sea turtles

All other adoptions include a keepsake folder with the following materials:

• a personalized Adopt-a-Honu certificate with information about your special turtle
• a chart of your Honu’s recent basking activity (only for single turtle adoptions on Oahu)
• a fact sheet about Hawaiian green sea turtles
• a Mālama i Nā Honu bookmark
• a full color brochure with further information on the Hawaiian green sea turtles

Shipping is $5 (per adoption) within the United States and $10 (per adoption) for international deliveries. Tax will apply at checkout if your adoption is delivered in Hawaii.

Please indicate what name you would like on your certificate in the “Adopter’s Name” field on the payment check-out page.  If delivery is to a different email address please provide that in the comments field.
